Testimonials:TDSA:
New shooter or experienced shooters, these courses are for you. At the end of the day you will be tired, your hand will hurt, you will go through a LOT of ammo, but you’ll be wanting more, GUARANTEED. They have an amazing way of not only honing existing skills but teaching you new ones in a way that makes sense, is fun and sticks with you.
When I took my first course, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Showed up a little nervous and hesitant about my skills. Scott and the instructors were very quick to make everyone at ease. They broke down the day, the expectations and address any concerns, in a fun yet informative manner.
Scott is a one of a kind instructor, who brings a lot to the table. With his martial arts background, He is able to break down seemingly complicated movements, into easily understood steps. His instructors are experienced, patient and have an amazing way of reading the class and changing things up to make sure everyone gets it. Definitely not your cookie cutter courses. I have taken multiple courses with Scott, both in group and one on one format, and I cannot recommend them enough. Definitely money and time well spent regardless of what you plan on doing in the shooting community
 Martial Arts Training

I have taken a few martial arts courses over the years but never stuck with it. I always found myself asking when I would ever be in a situation, where I would be able to effectively use, let alone pull off, some of the techniques. They didn’t seem to be teaching real world skills.

If you are taking a “self-defense” class, it’s because you want to be able to protect yourself and get out of the situation as quickly as possible. I found, I just wasn’t getting that.
Scott and his instructors seem to understand this. This course was different from day one. Right away Scott used real world examples and techniques. They were simple and effective. Movements I could actually visualize myself using and being able to pull off with some level of effectiveness.
Scott and his team of instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and amazing at what they do. Definitely recommend.

-Drew

I'm a brand new shooter and learned a lot from the instructors such as correct grip, stance and reloading techniques, I wish to learn more and would like to reccomend the course for anyone who wants to improve his/ her shooting skills.

Very positive and energetic instructors. A great sense of humor and perfect combination of fun / push for higher skill. The instructors drive you to perform but in a manner that is reinforcing ideas and practicing them as opposed to simply telling you your making mistakes. The order that the steps are taught and the specific drills really come together at the end. Every single person in the group improved drastically from start to finish. Can't wait for AP2. -Ryan

Course was a blast!!! The high degree of both professionalism and personableness of the instructors was tremendous.

TDSA courses are always the highlight of my summer. I've taken AP1 and AP1 refresher 3 times and always learn something new or get a better understanding of skills previously taught. Scott is not only a top notch firearms instructor, but has a demeanour when teaching that inspires you exceed your expectations. Aaron is definitely a great addition to your staff.
- Jim A.

I'm a brand new shooter! Looking forward to take the next course.

DSII course was heavy on reloading skills, which I was looking for. Though I would recommend this course only to students who have already learned the movement and presentation skills of AP2 and TR2 as the curriculum seemed to assume all students where familiar with TDSA platform and movement techniques. Loved the speed drills. Thanks!
-Doug

Excellent instuction on a personal level. Subtle corrections in technique resulted in significant improvements. I 'll be back.
- Sandy

This course was a great continuation of AP1 and much anticipated. I will be able to take away the skill building drills that we were taught and use them at my club. Once again Scott, Aaron and Andrew were able to instruct, correct and keep us all safe. Thanks and sese you next year for carbine and shotgun.
-Chris

AP1 is a great foundation for improving your shooting. If you are expecting to go from novice to world champion in a day, forget it! If you want to tap into an amazing resource to show you how to get better, don't miss it! You'll work hard, you'll swear, you'll smile and YOU WILL GET BETTER.

This is an extremely good course. Well worth the travel time. Professional instructors that spend the extra time to teach. Thank you,
-Grant.

Awesome course. From a new shooter's point of view, this is an absolute must. For experienced shooters, this course could break you of some poor habits.

I love handguns, but everytime I went to the range the results were different.taking this course I learned the basics of shooting to improve and keep improving each time I go to the range.i know what to work on now, thanks to this course.i will definetly sign up for the next level once I work on the skills I learned. thanks
-Bob

As a new shooter this course helped me learn proper grip and stance. This helped me vastly improve my accuracy and speed. I recommend this course to all shooters. I look forward to going to the range to practice what I was taught. I'll see you next year for AP2. Thanks!
- Vince R

I am a brand New Shooter and I took away so much good information. There is no way you can take this course and not come out a better shooter. I plan on taking the course again next year.
- John

Everything is great! I really hope you have more course dates. Anyway thanks!

TR1 was absolutely incredible. It was not at all what I expected, I figured that it would start off slow and work it's way up to a moderate level...man was I wrong, like any responsible shooting professionals they set out an overview of the day, laid out the safety expectations as the single most important thing (but did not make drag it out) the team was on point, if anyone was not on safe, or slightly not controlling muzzle these guys were hawkeyes, the repectfully but firmly reminded those to get the muzzles in check but also help build confidence by saying to the same people, "good muzzle control, great safety manipulation." When we were ready to "go hot" we hit the ground running. As a newer shooter this was an eye opening experience, I improved my rifle skills from the beginning of the day to the end by 59% unfrigin-believable...I just want to say thank you to Scott and the team for a life changing experience, I am already signed up for AP1 and TR2 and you better believe I am at every single course they have to offer, worth every cent! True professionals, the only advice I could give would be don't wait to book because the courses fill up quick! I barely squeaked in on the waiting list.

Scott Little simplified the steps in drawing a gun from a holster which made it easier for me to follow the safe way of doing it. He focused on establishing a good grip, the draw to clear the holster, the holding of the gun at chest level, the push out, sights pick up and then the finger on the trigger when target is acquired. Thanks for a good lesson,
- Herminigildo

Had a fun time and walked away a more confident shooter and that's what it's all about.
- Brad

Great instructions, great time shooting.. learned a lot.

I’ve taken a few courses at TDSA and every time I’ve been impressed with the quality of instruction and level of knowledge that is brought to the students. Scott and the instructors at TDSA have created an incredibly simple and straightforward approach to becoming a better shooter. In each case, I’ve left the day faster, more accurate and more in control. You will also leave with the knowledge of what to drill on your own time to keep improving. As a new shooter, it’s very easy to be intimidated by those more experienced, but the instructors at TDSA go out of their way to make each student feel comfortable and at ease. Starting at the fundamentals of grip and stance, they will walk you through the basics until you are hitting steel with a speed and accuracy that you didn’t think was possible when the day started. Trust me - they will make it a fun day of pushing your limits! Regardless of where you were when you arrived, you will leave at the end of the day a better shooter and ready for more! Thanks again Scott! You’ll be seeing me in future courses!
Cheers, George

Great course. Great instructors. I am very happy I took the course and plan to take Advanced Pistol 2 and others. Thank you for making me feel very comfortable and confident when I shoot.

Keep up the great work guys!

The AP1 course was excellent. I believe it enhanced my pistol firing skills. The instructors were knowledgeable and easy going. Mistakes were clearly and concisely explained. I would recommend this training to anyone shooting pistols. I will be attending AP 2 and Shotgun training with TDSA.
- William.

Fantastic day! Instructors were very professional. I ended the day with a grin from ear to ear. Cant wait for the next one.

Wish a bit more time was spent on grip, sighting and fixing these mistakes. Did learn other useful training points

Just a fantastic day. Much thanks to the patience, humour and skill of both Scott and Aaron. I'm sure these guys could have taught us for a month straight but they did a great job of distilling/streamlining the most practical points and drills that could be covered in a day. Had a blast and felt at ease throughout. Thanks again and looking forward to future courses.
-Scott

Thanks again Scott and all your instructors. Fantastic program, exceeded my expectations in content and results. I'm amazed how quickly the entire class improved by distilling all the myths, breaking down all the bad habits we all pick up at the range and working on the basics. As discussed, I'm also interested in the Advanced Pistol class if you figure a way to work us in.

It was a very informative course. With a lot of information to take in. It may be nice if this course could be done over two days . Being a fairly new shooter,my wife and I both enjoyed learning from Scott and his team of instructors . Which was nice as I was just expecting one instructor. Thank you for your knowledge .

Completely surpassed all my expectations! The well planned step by step format of skill building took a me as a novice to a level of competency in one day, that I could not reach in several years of shooting on my own. After seeing the results of this program on shooters of many different skill levels, I would recommend this to everyone.

I have been shooting for less than a year but have a holster cert and shoot ODPA once a week. I practice on my own about once every week. This course showed me proper gun grip and a better stance. thsi alone contributed to improvements. Trigger management and cadence tidied up the rest of my skill set. I shot the same test at the end of the day tha I ddid at the beginning and reduced my time by a bit over 60%. I am thrilled. The promise of emailed training programs and further support is very exciting. If I practice what I have been taught I will become a competent and competitive shooter. I would recommend this course to anyone that asks about how to improve their pistol skills. I look forward to finding out if I can be fit into the Advanced Pistol II course from Scott! Please let me know.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for running a very successful program this summer. I took part in the Advance Pistol 1 & Tactical Rifle 1 course and was very impressed with the techniques and skills taught. Your staff was professional and helpful in helping me learn new techniques to improve my accuracy & speed.
As a member of a Police Service & the Canadian Forces I would highly recommend this course for anybody who wants to increase their skill set in the use of Pistol & Tactical Rifle. Regardless of your shooting experience this program is for all shooters who want to push themselves to their next level.
Regards,
Mike M

If you want to become a better, faster, and more accurate shooter then TDSA is the place to do it. I have taken advanced pistol 1, tactical rifle 1 and will be taking tactical rifle 2 and dynamic shotgun in the next few months. These courses are the best of the best in my opinion. After each course I've taken my speed and accuracy have improved at least 50%. I have worked with every one of the instructors and I have learned several new skills from each of them along the way.
TDSA instructors go over and address every step involved in shooting and reloading in order to eliminate all of your bad habits and improve your speed ten fold. I never thought I could be as fast as I am now and I still have more to learn at all the other courses. Not to mention shooting 750+ rounds in a day is always a hell of a good time. Scott has hand picked an awesome team of shooters to teach and pass on their skills to all students. There is no pressure put on you by these guys at all, they all want to see the students improve as much as possible in a very fun and safe environment. My hats off to you boys , keep up the good work and I look forward to taking every tdsa course I can. There are a ton of better shooters out there thanks to you guys.
Thanks for everything ,
A.L
At age 47, a retired Educator and multi-level coach in many disciplines I am writing to commend you and your Assistant Instructor's who helped facilitate the Advanced Pistol #1 Course. Being new to the sport and to TDSA the knowledge , skill and execution I obtained from the full day instruction was beyond my expectations. The deliberate sequencing of skills with low student to instructor ratio was instrumental in my achievement of 12 shots, two mags, from 12m, 83% accuracy, in 6.1 seconds. Yes, room for improvement, but from where I started from at the beginning of the day I'm ex-static!
Thanks Scott for a great day...Yes you will definitely be seeing me in future programs you offer.
Jim

Five minutes into a private session with Scott Little during the TDSA AP1 and holster qualification course, it became clear that I was with the right instructor. In no time flat, my comfort, control, confidence, speed and accuracy were improved to the point that I was amazed.
There has been very few times in my life where improvements and results have been so drastic and so immediate. If you've wasted time, money, ammunition and targets doing the wrong things repeatedly- It's time to do the right things.
After a session with Scott Little, like me, you'll see dramatic improvements immediately.

I’m writing to thank you for an awesome Advanced Pistol 1 course! The techniques and methods I learned directly from the instructors were invaluable in improving my shooting in every way. I personally improved my speed/accuracy by 58% by the end of the day! For anyone reading this who might be thinking of taking this course, I can’t say enough good things about it. While it’s not an “easy” course, you WILL improve your shooting! 8 hours of training and over 750 rounds fired, you’ll be taught the proper stance, how to grip your pistol, recoil control, safe and fast drawing from your holster, shooting at multiple targets, fast magazine changes, and more!
I’ll admit I was a little nervous when the course first started in the morning, but Scott, Duane and Monte were awesome in making everyone feel welcome and at ease. The instructors are patient with you no matter what shooting experience you may or may not have. I strongly recommend this course to all shooters who would like to improve your skill and accuracy!
Sincerely,
Scott M., Ontario Canada

Never have I learned so much as quickly and easily as I did while attending the Advanced Pistol 1 course last weekend. This I can only attribute to the coaching by instructors who know how to teach every level of student that attended. Great job guys.
Being able to see improvement in ourselves within the first hour, then steadily progressing throughout the day makes this one course I would strongly recommend to anyone who wants to learn and improve their skill set. We all left with the knowledge, the tools and most importantly the positive reinforcement that helped us advance to a higher level of proficiency in such a short period of time.
Thanks again; I look forward to using and practicing the skills I have gained making it easier to enjoy the sport that much more and also attending other courses, continuing to learn from the best.
